R for research #3

I love the NHS R community and it has given me some great resources to apply in my practice but I feel that NHSRC is very focused on big trust level data and data science and there is unexplored potential in the health research/academic side. I wonder how we can be R/DS champions and advocate within the research space for better coding, analytics, and data management practices for clinicians.

More than happy to stick my oar in on this as required as we interface across operational work, "big data" analytics and academic/translational research. I think that NHSD are pushing this more generally with their version of RAP but we definitely look on this as a philosophy to apply across analytics and research and would love to see it as a joined-up endeavour across these areas.
