Hi everyone,
We currently make use of a component on the SCRa redesign which has a "warm yellow" background. It's purpose is to alert users to something of importance in a patients record that they may otherwise miss, such as an FGM indicator, or a reasonable adjustment that is required. It's a non-standard component but has tested well with users so far - though we will keep revisiting as we progress the service. It currently looks like this:
and would sit on a page like this:
Is there any guidance on how this would affect our focus states? We implement the new yellow with black border focus states elsewhere on the service but wanted to ensure that this was still appropriate given the similarity in colours to our component. A rough mockup of the component with an active focus state looks like so:
Happy to offer some further details if required!
Use this issue to discuss focus state styles in the NHS digital service manual.
What
Use these focus state styles to let users know which element they’re on and that they can interact with it.
