Agreed at July Style Council to make this change to the A to Z of NHS health writing:
NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSEI)
The full name of the organisation is NHS England and NHS Improvement. The abbreviation is NHSEI.
Published.
Update: This issue was originally about NHS England and NHS Improvement - acronym but it's now just NHS England (NHSE) according to the NHSE media team. To be approved at next Style Council meeting early 2023.
Agreed. Prepare to publish.

Original issue (May 2021)
We've had a query from NHSX via Slack about how to abbreviate NHS England and NHS Improvement.
Their comms team says: NHSEI. Not: NHS E&I, NHSE/I, NHSE&I.
Why
Not sure at the moment how much demand there is for putting this in the content style guide. Will leave it in the backlog for now.
