We do still get complaints from the public around our use of "fart". For example, a recent complainant asked why we "persistently resort to the overwhelming use of such juvenile terminology as 'fart', 'poo' and 'pee'". They said that NHSInform in Scotland provides a better balance by acknowledging that 'farting' is an alternative expression for 'flatulence', yet 'flatulence' is the standard term used, with 'farting' only used twice.
