On our NHS Volunteering platform, our administrative users require a dashboard in order to manage all of their volunteering role listings. We used a table with headings, and the tag component to highlight the status of each listing. We had a primary call to action at the top of the page to highlight the key action of creating a new listing.
This tested well with users and the primary CTA was clear along with the status tags. We also chose this approach for a dashboard as it allowed us to build upon it in future phases of work, i.e adding additional actions or tabs depending on what additional functionality is discovered to be required by our users.
Our review of community backlog items for professional-facing systems suggested there was a need for dashboard pages.
