Our service hasn’t integrated with Care Identity yet, but as it’s already an NHS branded service, I think it might make sense to have a variant of this button which is just blue and doesn’t contain the NHS logo, to avoid having 2 NHS logos on the page.
(This would also be consistent with the guidelines for the patient-facing NHS login button)
This could arguably be the same as the login button - a blue variant with customised text.
Agree with @edwardhorsford. I think there only needs to be one button variant reserved for login, the labelling for which can change depending on the mechanism being used. Be useful to have some consolidated guidance around such a variant too (i.e. when/when not to include the NHS logo).
Are there other possible usages of blue buttons beyond login? eg should this be named by purpose or by colour?
What
Add a component for the Care Identity authentication (NHS CIS2 Authentication) log in button.

Why
To allow services to more quickly and easily integrate with care identity authentication.
Provide a link to the existing guidance for CIS2.
Provide a space for further guidance on how to integrate CIS2 into services and journeys, potentially a pattern?
