Cookbook problems: "document-all.kjb" not working on PDI 4.2.0 #49

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I am using Cookbook downloaded on 21 Jul 2012 against PDI 4.2.0.; my PC has
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Executing "document-all.kjb" -from either Spoon or from Kitchen- throws an
error as detailed in the enclosed image.

Installation of the same version of Cookbook on Pentaho PDI ce 4.1.3r14872 with
W/XP 32 bit, works correctly.

Please advise what could cause the problem and how to go about correcting.

Many thanks

This appears to be the well-known problem that "Get Saxon Jar" in
"process-files" finds more than one SAXON*.JAR. It can be fixed simply by
changing the wildcard in this action. For me "saxon9.jar" worked.

Thank you Jens.... that was tha problem.

I had searched the web to troubleshoot the problem, but I did not find any
answer to "well-known" problem you describe.

In any event, problem solved. Correction duly noted.

Kind regards.

Hi. I said "well-known" as the problem is fully described in issue 42.
Unfortunately the coders have not distributed a new version for very long, so
the fix is only avaiable from the SVN. Best regards Jens
