Markdown support for descriptions? #301

I wonder what people think about this: Usually, descriptions that are just text are displayed as normal text without any markup such as line breaks. However, it could be nice to maintain line breaks. Markdown allows such formatting and more. We could run the event descriptions through a markdown renderer and maintain and add certain formattings like:

At least my smartphone app, as well as thunderbird seem to support formatting text in html or markdown markup: Selection_002 Screenshot_20240407-134645_Kalender

there are some glitches, like the app does not render bold.
