Nicehash connection issue on NHML 1.8.1.5 launch

I am assuming something with load due to spike in btc and possible dos attacks but since last night I have been getting the following errors when launching nicehash miner 1.8.1.5. It looks to me to be possibly cloudflare protection on api used to pull data? but just a guess from a ancillary look at the console log.

If I wait will get dialog box that Nicehash requires internet to run verify and try again later. I can mine on backup pools just fine and I am opening this on same internet connection so I am pretty sure there is internet

Let me know if there is anything else I can provide to help resolve the issue

I can manually start miner software and point to nicehash pool so it has to do with initial setup to determine best algorithm to mine with
