Decreased GPU power while mining Equihash on second GPU. #837

I have two GTX 1080 Tis in my system, and I've noticed that at occasionally, my second GPU is only using about 60% power (through MSI Afterburner) as opposed to 120%. I found that restarting the computer fixes this, but only temporarily. I have the P0 option checked in settings, as well as the "Prefer Maximum Performance" under the Nvidia Control Panel's power management option and the latest Nvidia GPU drivers. This issue causes my mining speed to decrease from 1.4k Sols/s to about 0.9 Sols/s, so I was wondering if there is a way to fix it. Thanks in advance.

setP0state does not work for Pascal cards, only for Maxwell.

If your power is limited, start closing applications (most notably, chrome is causing this issue) and see if the power jumps back up. This is a known issue with NVIDIA drivers.

Thanks for your suggestion, I've noticed that the problem is fixed by restarting the PC and not opening any applications other than Nicehash and MSI Afterburner. Also, I don't know if this is a topic for a new thread, but I occasionally get error messages pop up in the Windows notification centre saying that ccminer.exe was blocked from accessing graphics hardware. I have added all of the processes in the NiceHash Miner folder to my Windows Defender exceptions, but it continues occurring about once a day (I don't have any other antivirus programs installed).
