Cant mine eth on ver 1.4.0.1 #88

Did an update from 1.3.0.3 to 1.4.0.1, did a new precise benchmark. All benchmarks good except when it got to eth. Ran for over an hour with 'please wait'. Manually killed it. Tried two other times, same outcome. Reverted back to 1.3.0.3 and everything is back to normal.

Running: Windows 10, AMD driver 15.201, running only one R9 290 GPU.

The two dos windows (ether-proxy and ethminer) immediately close after opening. Here is a copy of the debug log.

Could you go to the NiceHashMiner folder and while pressing down Shift, right click and there should be an option to "Open command window here". Choose that and a command prompt should open. Now, run this command:

bin\ethereum\ethminer.exe --opencl --opencl-platform 0 --erase-dags old  --cl-global-work 16384 --cl-local-work 128 -F http://127.0.0.1:4052/miner/10/AMD_OpenCL --dag-dir data\AMD_OpenCL --opencl-devices 0

You need to run that command using the latest NiceHashMiner as the ethminer was updated in the latest release..

I see. I am indeed running 1.4.0.1 of NiceHashMiner.exe, which was the only file included in the "NiceHashMiner_upgrade_to_v1.4.0.1.zip". So, maybe the ethminer.exe should have also been included??? Okay, I'll download the entire package and take out the ethminer.exe from it and let you know the results.

To clarify, the upgrade zip file is for upgrading from v1.4.0.0 and not from v1.3.x.x .. if you have v1.3.x.x then you will need to download the full package..
