setting a temperature limit in Afterburner worked for me.
I cannot find a temperature limit setting in Afterburner. I also don't think this will help a lot, it only measures the GPU core temperature which is not that high. Depending on ambient temperature it is stable between 67 and 72 degrees Celsius, under full load.
I cannot even get Afterburner to work when running Nicehash. Any suggestions?
I'm having issues with the miner overruling afterburner. Therefore I get unstable gpu settings which I can't lower (can increase however) when the miner is running, resulting in crashes due to the gpu memory overheating I think . Is there any way to stop this? I tried removing the Extra Launch Parameters which included something GPU related, I tried running NiceHash with only 1 algorithm at the time for all algorithms, same result. I tried to run the miner at half power or something, I'm unable to do so. Lowering intensity doesn't change temps. I'm using an AMD Asus r9 280x Direct CuII on windows 7.
