error when trying package-list-packages #29

I get this backtrace when I try package-list-packages:

I don't think there is a general problem because it works fine for me in a clean emacs. Can you please tell me what version of emaccs you are using?

I have tried restarting my emacs instance but the problem persists. I'm using GNU Emacs 24.2.50.1 (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 3.4.2) of 2012-10-09 on gold, modified by Debian.

Errmmm... Can you please double check it still fails with emacs -Q

I tried again after I got your mail. It's working now even without the -Q option. Thanks.
