Comparing different data sets, different stations. For a wide variety of uses, it would be nice to overlay data on the same plot. If the same units and time range, this is fairly easy. If different quantities, perhaps a left and right axis option? For example, I wanted to compare rates for ARA-2 and ARA-3. Or, while I was trying to figure out the triggers, I wanted to put a putative subset of L1's on the same page with an L2, in order to confirm membership by correlation.
