Add Database Backup and Restore to Core Panel #633

What steps will reproduce the problem?

no problem, rather an enhancement request - would it be possible to add DB 
backup and DB restore to the core panel ? This would help recover from crashes 
a lot quicker.

Atm the only way to do a DB backup as far as I can see is through phpmyadmin.

Nice idea.
This however will not be implemented until we have more time. This is still a 
hobby project for most of us, and adding new core features is less of a 
priority at the moment :-). Sorry.

Because of sparse developer resources I don't see this happening in the near 
future and I'm therefore going to close this thread.
Sorry, but we will in the coming time be focusing on bug reports and 
user-support. 
I hope you can live with using PHPmyadmin once in a while when doing backups.
