"The backup" means a specific labeled backup that the user is requesting.

Pseudo-steps: 1) Load the first occurrence of the backup digest into memory 2) For each sequential backup (oldest to newest) until the desired backup date:

• Load this backup digest into memory.
• Replace path and lastWritten in the first occurrence of the backup digest with the values from the current iteration. 3) Traverse the modified in memory digest, requesting files from the filestore (local/cloud). Reconstruct the directory tree, placing the requested files in their respective location.
