First off , this is a great tool , while there is tools like ultra edit and others Linux for as far back as I can remember didn't have a application to be able to view + search with big files
I can't understand why every distribution have there own editors yet none of them can open big files [[ geany,gedit,kwrite/kate]] yet here comes along an open-source tool that not only opens and has a search function it does it gracefully and has a clear and responsive percent indication to let you know how the process is going also it manages to open any huge file with out smashing the ram or CPU into freezing the computer
the mind boggles why all editors aren't this way
while I will hear people screaming , what are you on about Linux have lots of tools to edit and search big files, like sed, awk, spit etc etc , true
but none that you can actually view the document in an application gui format and edit /search
is there any plans to add an edit feature ??
