Joyce ~

I'm starting this stub to start a discussion about what you like about the Cheeky theme

I'm not looking for changes, but what do you like about the colors, site architecture, and content tone?

I'm happy to change this into a private repository - or not extending the Cheeky Theme, but I thought it would be useful to start a discussion about what design decisions we are making, rather than just thrashing about...

Sorry I am just not loving the design after the fact. I like the flat design i like the fact that i can edit the html (don't know what to do with wordpress) and it think with the animations it just looks much more modern than the wordpress template. Sorry to flip flop on you....but i think it's much cooler and I promise to stop changing my mind after this.....

So, sorry for the slow reply.

Any template can have animations, its an easy thing to do (see scrollMagic), and its a frosting part of design. I think we really need to focus on content. I don't think making a swooshy design will do much good (it also doesn't translate/degrade well)

There are a bunch of good reasons to keep developing for Wordpress. Mainly because we can create reproducible elements for our content ~ and focus on our content (not the design). It will allow all of us to directly contribute work to the website, or make small changes, with out having a production bottleneck.

I have two problems with the cheeky theme: 1) To me, the theme feels crowded, it doesn't really give the content room to breathe (or be read) 2) While the theme claims to be mobile first ~ I havn't gotten it to switch down
