Expanding To All Possible States

Hi All,

I'm tweaking the nearest polling file here so that we get maximum states for CPI Election Day 2020 and maximum states for BallotReady Early Voting 2020. Also uploading the updated final files. It's not terribly pretty but hopefully it will do for now!

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• There are now missing values in the 'distances_2020' column and 'distances_2020_early' column that represent schools in states that did not have data. Be sure to drop the missing values if you'd like to look at 2020 Election Day exclusively or 2020 Early Voting exclusively.
• The Not-Quite-Early Voting states we discussed are not "pre-dropped" so you will still need to drop them when calculating statistics.
• The Google API numbers haven't been added to these files, but if we forego those for the January stats that's not an immediate issue!

This final file now has 2,258 schools across 48 states. For 2020 early voting only, there are 2,170 schools across 45 states. For 2020 election day only, there are 1,815 schools across 35 states.

So for the second bullet with the Not-Quite-Early voting states, I'd only need to drop them for early voting states right? and then for election day stats I'd just drop the NA's for the early voting, correct?

So for Early Voting you would:

• Drop the Not-Quite-Early Voting States (which we need to update based on the +1 Team's responses today)
• Drop the NA's for Election Day Voting

For Election Day Voting stats you would:

• Drop the NA's for early voting
