This would be amazing.
Do you think there are other hubbers that would be interested in joining us? iirc @cobyism is into photography too. Maybe we could set up an "official" summit activity.
That's a great idea, @nickh!
I wonder if I could get a quadcopter through customs for some aerial photography around there?
@cobyism, I wouldn't want you to risk such a wonderful piece of technology to customs, but if you discover it's not a problem with customs, I would very, very much enjoy seeing your quadcopter in action.
@jordanmccullough do you think it's worth investigating a photography workshop for a few Hubtographers? I'm happy to work with the summit coordinators, you may have a better idea where to find local resources in Colorado Springs.

:100:
@nickh, My preference would be for a casual meet-up of Hubtographers, rather than a formal workshop, but don't let me hold you back if you had interest in pursuing this, by any means.
Alas, I'm not all that familiar with local photographers and workshops.

That works for me. Heck, hanging out with you is a workshop.
Adding @elizabethn to the thread - she mentioned in Slack chat that she'd be interested in joining summit photo activities.
 thanks for including me! Definitely interested in learning from and hanging out with you lovely people. I'm super new (have only used point and shoots for my whole life) and am about to get my first DSLR. :tada:
@nickh, @crichID is also very much into 📷 activities. Might we add her to this repo so she can sync-up with us photography enthusiast folks at Summit 2016? Thanks.
I ended up getting a refurbished Canon T6i, with 18-55mm & 55-250mm lenses. Excited! :dancer:
I was so happy to have my camera at Summit, I only wish I would have had more time (and energy) to explore. I loved seeing everyone's photos - Colorado is just stunning. Every time I leave, I can't wait to go back. 😍
Unrelated: I'm looking for a little advice. I would love to ask this group how you manage photo storage. I've taken so many photos now, I'm filling up my hard drive, and Photos has blocked me from importing anything else. I need to sort this out in a scalable and failsafe way. What do you all use? Do you store them locally or in the cloud? Do you back them up somewhere? Do you keep them on SD cards? CDs? Something else?
Also, I'm curious if you cull them at all when saving them, or do you keep every photo you take? I'm keeping every photo right now (even the not so great ones) but I think maybe I could be a little pickier. These files are so large, it's costly to store them. I'm not sure why I keep them all, except for the hope of cleaning them up post-processing. I think I could be a little more realistic in my delusions of grandeur; it's likely I'll never have anything else on my to-do list but clean up old photos of rocks and stuff. 😆
Will be held in Colorado Springs from July 17-20. @nickh and @jordanmccullough will be there, and we should plan to take some photos!
