Although it's theoretically possible to archive more complex geometries in the data, most of our code is only set up for points. Can we put the average for elevation, and then add the range in the notes somewhere?
Thanks Nick. This is in continuation with this issue of assigning altitude to a site where tress are sampled over a range of altitudes. Yes, we can take average. But I am not sure about the column in which we can display the range. It would be better, perhaps in future, to have a column 'notes' where we can clarify similar issues.
Having clear view on this issue now, the altitude associated with the following records should be 1850m; currently it is -300m. TR12SAMU06 TR12SAMU01 TR12SAMU02 TR12SAMU03 TR12SAMU04 TR12SAMU05
And TR15NACA00, 500m; currently it is 400-600m.
Would you please change this?
Regards Shreyas

Dear Nick,
I looked at the Iso2k v0.10.0 QC and observed that four records which were not there in the earlier version of QC have shown up in Iso2k v0.10.0 QC. There are a few inconsistencies in them. Other records are as per the old version.
The new records are:
TRBAPU01
TRBAVO01
TRXUPH00
TR12SAMU00
Two questions at this stage:
I can quickly check the new records for QC and correct the wrong entries. Should I do it in Iso2k v0.10.0 QC?
There are a few additions/modification (such as start year and end year) in other records. Should I do it in Iso2k v0.10.0 QC?
Regards
Shreyas

Great!
Are there instances for a specific timeseries, that is a row in the QC sheet based on TSid or iso2kUI, where there is information in the 0.8.4 spreadsheet and not in the 0.10.0 spreadsheet? If so I'd like to know about it because that shouldn't happen.
Best, Nick

Although most of the changes those were made in the earlier version (v0.8.4) have been incorporated, a few entries are not as per the earlier version. I will make a list and send them to you in a day or two.

Hi Shreyas,
Yes, it's likely that these were records that existed in 0.8.0 but not in 0.8.4, and because not all of those were intentionally dropped. Please edit any/all records in the 0.10.0 QC sheet that need to be updated.
Thanks, Nick

I've added a new column called geo_notes (AA). Please add any free text description (including elevation ranges) there. Will close this comment when all the TR elevation issues are fixed
That is great! That would facilitate to put an important information which can not be put in any other columns. Shreyas

Because there is a range of altitudes, when we mention the range (e.g. 2000-3000) it is giving altitude in negative (e.g. in this case -1000). Need to formulate how altitude range needs to be given in QC sheet.
