I'll also add that it's an existing issue with running SkillMMO alone too, since you can get a lot of experience by picking up your old experience after dying or similar 😅
It's something I'm hoping to work on soon(ish) to find a way to make experience independent of Minecraft's experience, or to make only certain Minecraft experience contribute to SkillMMO experience. This will probably take a while for me to come to a solution and implement it, so watch this space! 😓
Edit: I've changed the issue title to reflect that this is a wider problem, and that the solution to this will need to be quite wide-reaching
I was able to effectively solve this issue in my own Modpack by using a feature from the UniversalGraves Mod. The mod creates gravestones with your items and XP inside it, but you can alter the XP type returned when you retrieve your Grave. Doing this, prevents additional "duping" of your XP with SkillMMO. Quite nifty, strongly recommend.
you could make that the XP is consumed in order to level up, that way is impossible to dupe XP

Is your feature request related to a problem? Yes, It is. When you die, there's a grave with all your experience and Items but, when you retrieve your items, you retrieve also an amount of experience that you died with.
Describe the solution you'd like May SkillMMO can have it's own way to get experience to integrate with Mods like Dark Questing or even other mods with quests to achieve experience but on other way like it's own quests or a new xp bar that work like the vanilla one but with a different way to acquire xp.
