It was great reading this. I really liked the idea you mentioned, "fulfilled desired divided by the number of total desires (completed and incomplete). 100% happiness being 100% of a person's desires have fulfilled."
A few questions came to mind. Is it a better idea to desire less things? And what about the desires that we crave within our body, soul and mind? Specifically things that we can't really measure. Those things are hard to determine if we have attained them. Meaning we'd always be unfulfilled.
IDK just speaking (typing) out loud.
I hope we all get to the point where we feel peace within our hearts, minds and souls.
@waseemhnyc Thanks for your support bro, it really means a lot to me ❤️
I think the answer to desiring less things is a personal one. If a person is on the path that they realize that this material world all temporary and fleeting, desiring less things makes total sense. It's still a hard thing to do.
To answer about the desires we crave within our body, mind and soul, it's really powerful to understand that the soul is separate from the body and mind, the soul is eternal and (I'd like to stretch to say) immortal. Our soul is living a human experience through our body, so it's important for us to be one with understanding it, but not to be overtaken by bodily and mental desires.
To answer the same question but about intangibility, I think love is a great example for something that is so intangible that a lot of people desire. The first part is that these things generally don't have a universally accepted definition, but we tend to come up with a personal definition. I think knowing your self and your body would help you come up with the personal definition that will then let you know if you have attained it or not. The second part is, as you learn and grow, your understanding of life will grow with you and that understanding will help you assess what you've accomplished against what you desire and help you come to terms with it.
Peace to all ☮️✌️
