Query about times #7

Hello Nicola. This is a really great resource. Thank you for spending time on it. I had a question about this file:

From where does the data for the 'time' column come from?

Hi James, From the readme file, that links to this visualisation, in turn links to the project from which the source data seems to have been sourced. In turn, this page states:

Uses travel times from Geoff and Neil's travel times map (plus fake ones for DLR, sorry).

And below that:

  • proper DLR times to travel (just used 2 mins for everything - tube ones are better)

The base connectivity data was sourced from Wikimedia Commons and appears to date from ~2006. I'm currently working on bringing the connectivity and zonal data up to date on my branch (and transferring any results back to Wikimedia Commons), and have been considering taking the average journey times from TfL's own line diagrams as shown on platform posters.
