3 years ago There are some issues related to this request:
- You mention "at least 2 trainloads" - a vanilla cargo wagon has a size of 40, the warehouses scale with 80 slots/wagon-length this is exactly your desired base behaviour... I see your point with modded trains though.
- Tech: The factorio engine is supposed to have a soft limit of 540 slot, after which the chest-entity affects game-UPS a lot. With a to steep scaling we hit this limit way early.
- Balancing: It is my intention to keep the size a bit limited because the mod should especially help with train balancing. It is not intended to be a "all you ever need" storage solution.
I need to think about how to resolve this, I might expose the size scaling as a mod-setting and add a warning regarding the possible UPS problems on map load. Give me some time to think of a better solution...
Make the storage size configurable please. One vanilla trainload is not enough.when you do it with normal chest you can atleast fit 2 trainloads in one set of chests. and then there is non vanilla train wagons that fit way more than a vanilla wagon......
