WiFi Direct not Enabled #403

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.  Follow the wifi p2p guide at: 
http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/connectivity/wifip2p.html
2.  Install on glass
3. Run the discovery.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect to discover my other WiFi direct enabled devices, and that GoogleGlass 
woudl be WiFi P2P Enabled.

Instead in the logs I see that WiFI p2p is not available.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

XE 12, using the GDK.  I develop on Linux.
