I'm unable to reproduce this on Edge 42.17627.1000.0, so it may have been fixed in the next Windows update. I'll try it on Edge 41 and report back.
I am having a similar issue with articles at http://www.businessinsider.com. The issue does not appear on the main site only when viewing articles. i.e. http://www.businessinsider.com/jcpenney-ceo-leaves-signaling-death-of-department-stores-2018-5
This does not occur with Firefox/Chrome or using AdGuard Adblocker for Edge.
OS/version: Win10 Pro Insider build 17666.rs_prerelease.180504-1501 Edge/version: 42.17666.10000.0 uBlock/version: 1.15.24
I am using uBlock with default settings. I do so by reset to default settings to make sure I did not alter anything.

Describe the issue
uBlock Origin for Edge does not block anti-ad block notifications on Gizmodo Media Group websites. uBlock Origin for Chrome, Firefox, and Opera does block these notification pop-ups. Only on Edge do these websites seem to be able to get around this.
