The original wasn't working, at least for the UK region, maybe LinkedIn is different depending on the region, I haven't looked into that, I just needed something that worked, otherwise I would have had to write it from scratch, so thank you.
All that I did here was add the method that fills out the phone number and updated some selectors, it is working for me but feel free to test it.
note: you may want to remove my added comment in the readme, but maybe mention what python version was used
