Don't allow brewing when scale disconnected #26

For whatever reason a scale may get disconnected but sometimes people don't notice this before pulling a shot and then stop on weight doesn't happen ruining the morning. It may be nice to have a config option to automatically stop a shot when a brew is started if no scale is connected. We would do this before even pre-infusion starts so it would allow the user to correct things without ruining their carefully prepared puck.

I don't think that's properly possible. It was already discussed in the decent diaspora (I'm still looking for the topic...). It's because the brewing process has to be started by the GHC (for safety reasons). I definitely would opt for a configurable option since only one scale is supported yet - and there are still users that don't have a scale at all.

Perhaps an instant brew stop could be a workaround to achieve that.

But I see your point about ruining your morning coffee :-)

You can't START a brew cycle via software but you can certainly stop it. After all that's how stop at weight works now with GNAT.
