+1 for cover entities. I had this working with a cover and for some reason it stopped working and then I looked at the github page and it says it's not supported :( not sure what happened.

+1. Would love to support volume for a minimal zone volume control. I don't think there's any reason it shouldn't be able to since the attribute, min, and max can all be specified.

Would be lovely if input booleans could be added as well, using these to bypass automations when lights turned on manually.

I vote for input_number entities. :D
