Yes, I have observed the same. I kinda thought it was the game designers intension. The appearance of old,, obsolete weapons were perhaps to lend to the campaign that realism of desperation often seen during later stages of WWII Europe.....
I had that issue once in the polish campaign. The big forest to the southeast of the northeastern objective city
I bring to your attention once again this problem I submitted several times, this has not been addressed in time and it has only worsened...
This issue is similar to a precedent issue I took to your attention some time ago, where I lamented the ability of the computer, at least in the campaign, to reinforce seemingly infinitely its units, this went nowhere, even tho this is acceptable to a certain degree, the last problem I encountered it’s not: In many campaigns (soviet, American and German are the ones where I replayed so far) the computer is seemingly able to deploy “core units” and to keep em coming even when their deployment hexes had been previously overrun and cleared, to make the situation worse, many units aren’t even loosely historical, with units from as back as the 1920’s appearing from thin air. While the presence of deployment hexes makes some sense in scenarios, as this makes it possible to play with core units even while playing as a different faction from the intended one, in campaigns (especially the more historical ones) it is not acceptable. The continue spam of unhistorical units doesn’t only make it impossible to play with “rules” in campaigns, it also means there is often a notable disbalance of power, as often the computer’s prestige seems bottomless. Please address this problem
