Because platforms have different prices, it might be beneficial to open a new bank account instead of opening an investment account at the bank you use for your daily checking account. For example, in certain cases a checking + investment account at ABN AMRO is cheaper than an investment account at ING, because of the higher transaction fees and basefee of the ING.
It would be great to add these costs to the website. Ideally, these costs would be added by default and users can select which bank accounts they already have, so that the costs are not part of their investment calculus.
