Performance issue #55

After a while the game slows down quite a lot, even on my i7 with 4GHZ, it goes down to 2FPS in FULL HD. image image On my old laptop its not as bad funnil, but the resolution is way less, SAVE6.zip Could the problem be also to the lan connection? image

nicymike commented 3 years ago

Do you have sounds enabled? If yes, please test with sounds disabled (press s-key). The game will currently hang with too many sounds playing at the same time. A fix for this is already planned.

The LAN connection may be the problem if latency is too high. But in this case the game should also be slow in the beginning.

Wakeboardtiger commented 3 years ago

Sounds off did not solve the issue. One of my cores is totally maxed from the java application. The weaker laptop who joins the game is not maxed.

nicymike commented 3 years ago

Very strange, thank you for testing. Does your CPU go up to 100% right from the start or does it go up at a specific action? Do you both use the same download (eg. zip 64Bit)?

Wakeboardtiger commented 3 years ago

same download. As soon as i load the MP game then the second core is at 100%. But the game it self slowed down as it grew.

I guess I need to add more information to F3.

nicymike commented 3 years ago

I added some more information to debug data (F3-key). Can you add some more screenshots including the new information? There may be some issues with your java version.

unfortunately no improvement with the new version.

From which laptop did you made these screenshots? Both are not using the integrated Java runtime of the zip file and the first one is even using a 32Bit version. Do you run the exe or the jar file?

Wakeboardtiger commented 3 years ago

i use the exe. :-

nicymike commented 3 years ago

Please try the zip with included Java and test again.

Please check if the issue persists in newest version 1.0.2.
