What features we are looking for in a URL shortening script

Hi hasanozgan,

I tried the v3.0, and i was very disappointed with how the script works. 
What i am looking in a URL shortening script is

1. Shorten URL with a custom name
2. Display statistics of the shortened URL such as clicks, referrers, 
search-engine indexing, etc
3. An admin panel to delete spams

This is all we are looking for IMO. I think v3.0 is bulky,confusing to 
install and really bad upgrade.

rmdort, how did you get 3.0 installed?  I can't figure it out, and I'm not 
alone judging by other comments in the 
"issues" section?

If you could provide a simple step-by-step of what goes where that would be 
much appreciated.

I got it installed somehow.. But it was totally different from the previous 
versions
and buggy..

Since the author hasanozgan is updating to a new version, we better wait for it 
:)

That's what I'm thinking too, I only want it for personal use, so I don't want 
to waste time installing a tricky bit of 
code only for it to be redone shortly after.
