Wow, this is great and exactly what I wanted to do!
I am not finding the AMI when I search here: https://aws.amazon.com/search?searchQuery=openfuego&searchPath=amis&x=15&y=24
Am I looking in the wrong place?
No, it's possible I did this wrong. I thought I could do it directly through the Amazon Management Console, but it appears I may need to go another route. If you have an AWS account, can you try searching for 'ami-4d3fad7d' under the EC2 console -> Images -> AMIs?
Actually, I've made it private again - there are some security-related steps I should take first.
Ok, the AMI is currently pending review. I'll update you when it gets approved.
Still pending review...
Still pending review, and I'm out through next Monday - hopefully it'll be approved by the time I get back.
Just got approved - any chance you can test it?
How do I find it?
Andrew.

The search result link you posted earlier has it:
https://aws.amazon.com/search?searchQuery=openfuego&searchPath=amis&x=15&y=24
This is it here, right?
https://aws.amazon.com/amis/openfuego
Would be great to have Fuego In A Box capability.
That's the one!
I set up an instance. How do I tunnel in? My key is rejected when I try to log in as root.
Hmm, I must've messed up in creating the AMI. I'll go back and take a closer look.
Hi – realize this thread is from a super long time ago, but fwiw @mAAdhaTTah I was able to find and use your AWS AMI, with these instructions – was super helpful in getting things going! Wanted to say thanks.
Very cool! So I guess that means the issue @phelps had earlier isn't really an issue. Glad to hear it worked for you though.
If I did this right, I created an AWS AMI for easy deployment of OpenFuego on a free tier server. I need two questions answered:
1) Does the AMI show up for you when you search for it?
2) Is the AMI properly configured to run OpenFuego easily?
If someone who is not-me can test this before this is merged in, I'd appreciate it. I'll be expanding the AMAZONAWS.md for more complete instructions.
