Hi @Brugman ,
I just saw your issue. (don't know why I'm not getting an email from github)
I think the menu was in tools at the beginning of this plugin but I needed to move it away when I switched from tabs navigation to menu navigation. When I switched back to tab, I didn't make the opposite move. I'll do it in the next release.
For the name, as you can see, the plugin was first call flush-opcache
and then WP OPcache
as I extended it. This is a good idea to keep it simple and it's not the first time I will change it 😉
I will update this issue as soon as I will release a new version. Don't expect it to be too soon.
Love the plugin!
Would you consider moving the admin menu item for the plugin to
Tools > OPcache
? I can PR it if you'd like.I think checking your OPcache status is not something we need to do every time we log in, and it also clearly a "tool", and it doesn't utilize any subpages, so it could easily live under Tools.
As for the name: After users choose to install the branded
WP OPcache
plugin, I think it should just become their OPcache tool. Not specifically WP OPcache. Less is more, right? The UI would only get messier if half the tools/settings had "WP " in front of them.Keep up the good work.
