New feature: Numpad should move active window to workspace side / corner / center #18

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

Super + 1-9 on Numpad should move active window to respective sides, cornes
or centre of current workspace.
This is the same as with the Place plugin of Compiz.

Wondering if doing this in superswitcher violates the KISS principle. It's superswitcher, not supermover. Notice that currently superswitcher is probably compatible with tiling window managers. Would such a feature somehow introduce conflicts?

Anyway to do this I've been using for years an external script that I wrote, based on wmctrl and xdotool. The script should work on all desktop-environment and has configure options to set it up automatically for some common environments. The script supports multiple monitors (actually, combination with 0 sends to next monitor) and tries to respect area reserved for dock, panel etc (currently broken, though). I may share it script if anyone is interested.
