Cannot work with Google Earth map in Wireless mode when wireless iterf off Windows Vista #34

Both HK GCS 1.2.109 and 1.3.9
OK on Windows XP
On Windows Vista
the map tab opens, spends 10s and displays 'navigation has been cancelled'
explorer-generated html.
At the same time, GE works fine in offline mode on both computers.
Map cachin enabled in GE on both cases.
More verbose executable might help debugging.

My GCS does not use Google Earth. It uses the Google Earth Javascript API. This
requires internet connection to function. There is no such thing as caching in
the Google Earth Javascript API (and I've contacted a Google engineer asking
about this).

More verbose description of the problem might help troubleshooting.

Therefore this is not a bug but serious use case limitation (who has internet
connection on the field?).

Not a bug. Yes, I'd call it a limitation. Anyone with a smart phone can enable
a wifi hotspot.
