All "symbols" (not basic letters) suddenly disappear from the displayed keyboard

Context

I am not sure if this is a bug or me not understanding some existing feature:

Sometimes, during normal use, all symbols suddenly disappear from FlickBoard (happens to me about twice a week). Standard letters remain visible. Symbols can still be entered but are not visible on the keys. Maybe there is some special gesture for hiding the symbols that I am unwittingly entering. If this is the case, is it documented somewhere?

Steps to reproduce

Steps to reproduce:

1. Write something using FlickBoard
2. Suddenly, all symbols disappear from FlickBoard keys
3. Enter Settings / Aesthetics. The "Show symbols" switch is suddenly off. Switch it back on.
4. Symbols reappear.
5. After a few days of use, randomly go back to 2.

Expected behavior

The symbols should remain visible unless they are switched off in Aesthetics / Show symbols.

Actual behavior

The symbols disappear seemingly without reason

Also, in settings, increasing Behavior -> Swipe threshold might help prevent it from happening unintentionally.
