Orangelink Initialization fails when 'Use scanning' is enabled [Medtronic]

The Medtronic Preferences > Use Scanning [Enabled] function fixes issue #373 , however, it introduces a new problem: whenever it's enabled, RileyLink Initialization fails.

Tested as follows on 2.8.2.20 (2022.01.25) running on an S7/Android 11 | Orangelink 1.0 (firmware 2.5) | MDT 554 : 1 Boot device 2 Go to Medtronic Preferences and:

• disable 'Use Scanning'
• click RileyLink configuration > [Remove] , then [Scan] for a device and select the Orangelink

• --> OrangeLink connects and successfully initializes

  3 Go to Medtronic Preferences and:

• enable 'Use Scanning'
• click RileyLink configuration > [Remove] , then [Scan] for a device and select the Orangelink
• --> OrangeLink doesn't initialize (Medtronic tab shows 'RileyLink initializing' endlessly)!

Note:

• The issue manifests worse with Orangelink firmware 3.2 as compared to 2.5. With 2.5, Initialization will succeed if the RileyLink device is deleted and the phone is rebooted and the RileyLink is then added (i.e. it'll Initialize if the user doesn't remove the RileyLink immediately before adding it back). With 3.2, that workaround doesn't help.
• I haven't tested this on other phones--it's possible that this issue is device-specific (possibly related to #474 )
• Even if this issue can't be fixed for 3.0, I believe that the 'Use scanning' functionality is still useful, since RileyLink Initializations are less frequent than the failed re-connects that this option fixes.

Since upgrading to AAPS 3 (from the bubbledev version of AAPS 2.8 with the orange link fix) I've encountered same issue described above, initialisations fail to reconnect unless phone hard rebooted, but also dropped connections far less likely to reconnect. Very rarely had issue re-connecting prior to upgrade. Using OnePlus 8 pro, Medtronic 722, orange link v1 hardware, 2.5 and 3.2 software. Will try tip above.
