Hi Community, this request is based on the assumption that the body can only handle a defined amount of carbs in a time period (e.g 60 or 70 carbs in 2 hours), so the body does not need the full amount of insulin for the 100 carbs that was the lunch for example.... We therefore split the bolus always in bolus for 60-70 carbs and the rest only type in as information for later....
Dear team, I suggest to add to the “max allowed carbs” a feature, that would prevent my kid to bolus consecutiveley more than once and with the result that the max carbs entry of for example 70 carbs is not mandatory anymore. For the second carb entry within a defined time period the system should only store the carbs, but the calculator shouldn’t be considering it and deliver no insulin for it., like I would store the carbs in the carb tab with a time offset.
