When no profile is active (as in a clean install), importing and editing a profile (OR creating a new profile), then saving and activating it has no effect--it doesn't trigger any communication with the pump.
The profile only becomes active when the user clicks 'Refresh' on the pump tab. Maybe 'Activate profile' should always trigger a pump Refresh?
To replicate:
1 Clean install of AAPS
2 Import 2.8.2 profile
3 Set nightscout as BG source (no upload); Configure Pump/RL
--> AAPS indicates that pump is connected
4a Make a change to the imported profile and save it
OR
4b Delete the imported profile and create a new one and save it
5 Activate profile
--> Medtronic tab shows no communication with the pump!
--> As a consequence, the profile remains inactive!
6 On the Medtronic tab click 'Refresh'
--> Profile is activated
Tested with: AAPS 3.0 Beta 3, Medtronic 554, RileyLink, Android 11 (PixelExperience) on a Galaxy S7
