Acces error with IP6 and IP4... #8210

Strange and minor bug. My phone connects to NS via AAPS. It connects either using home WiFi and using IP4 connection and using 5G and using IP6. The same admin token is used all the time.

The IP6 connection gives an error message...

but IP4 doesn't give the same message.

NS installed in a container on own NAS.

It seems that the error is given with an IP4 too...

I confirm that the connection works and data is uploaded to NS.

@robertrub Same issue here. Been on going for a month or 2 that I'm aware of. My nightscout is on google cloud. I used to upload from both xdrip and aaps, now only aaps. Uploads have always been fine, no issues. Couple of days ago I created a new name for nightscout (domain and subdomain) and deleted the old one. Only app that has the new credentials is aaps. Failed authentication message is still occurring. For uploads in aaps I'm using the relatively new nsv3. I'm wondering if folk are getting this issue but are not aware of it as info on nightscout is complete. nightscout error

Managed to get aaps nsv3 log files at time of authentication error in nightscout. AAPS logs look fine to me but I'm no expert

@robertrub Hi, just a thought, please ignore if you disagree. Would it make sense to change the title of this issue? Maybe to something like False Admin message in Nightscout, "Failed Authentication"

robertrub commented 3 months ago

Why not but I don't know if only the message is triggered erroneously or if there is another bug during the login process.

jimk9 commented 3 months ago

If it is caused at time of upload then 95% or higher uploads work without the error. Also def not hacker as I changed site name domain and subdomain and it's still an issue. My guess is other folk are getting this error but they don't notice it. Intermittent issues are a pain
