com.smartgwt.client.widgets.calendar.Calendar - short event after midnight sretches across entire day

Refer to  http://www.smartclient.com/smartgwt/showcase/  

- navigate to Calendar / Simple Calendar
- click any event to edit the details
- set start date to 12:10 am (shortly after midnight) and end date to 12:30 
(results in a duration of 20 minutes)
- apply

-> note that this event stretches across the entire day but has in fact a 
duration of 20 minutes only (see screenshot)

Observed 
- using SmartGWT 2.5
- using Safari on Mac OS X SL/ FF on W7 as a client
- GWT application deployed on Tomcat 7.0.20 WS 2008 R2

Still happening with SmartGWT 3.0 / GWT 2.3.0 on Chrome 17 and Firefox 6.
