Remove Windows 2000 support #257

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
I added Windows 2000 support in version 0.2.0 (issue 117) and since then I've
never run tests again to make sure everything kept being fine.
After 2 years, and now that my Windows 2000 virtual machine has definitively
stopped working, I think it's time to drop supoprt for this OS.
Just for the record, python itself will drop Windows 2000 support in 3.3
version:

I agree with this. Windows 2000 is end of life, and 12 yrs old. It's good to
clean up the cruft where possible, and I'm seeing some code that specifically
checks for win2k in the lib.
