This looks really good! Some suggestions:

The Black text "Week 1" on the dark red background has really bad contrast. Try lightening the red or the text needs to be lighter.
Instead of displaying the ugly, long urls, you could represent the content differently like how Camino shows external links. It could be a light colored box with a icon indicating its a link. Experiment with it.

I feel like the URL's are a must to know what you're clicking on but if not I can create a different version that only shows it like camino with the (text) at the end of the link underlined to show as a link
