Add logger to TrUMP #81

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Right now, we use Alerts to debug the TrUMP code.
One better way may be to use logger such as log4js.
I have added log4js to TrUMP, need to get it working.
Or you can come out with a better solution.

It would be great if we can add a menu with options/preference where we
can set the log level (or log type?).

is this logging going to be mainly used by us (trump devs) or trump users?

Mainly for developers, but it is helpful for TrUMP users, too. For example, we
can
see the default level to info and ask the user to change the log level to debug
and
send us the log file if some user has any issues with TrUMP. From the log, we
can
analyze where
the problem is.

Vivek has finished almost the log window, but we need to make the log console
look
prettier, i.e., 3D effect. After that, we can close this issue.
