Is there any way to get the text from the region? I don't understand if it is
not yet implemented or you are not going to implement it.

You can try TextTarget. This is an experimental feature. It has been reported
that it works well with default fonts like Arial and Times Romans.

Are there any updates on this? Would be awesome to be able to parse text off
images using the Sikuli Java API.
