What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.I assign one key to emulate the Home button, I press but nothing happens.
Other key like letter or numbers works.
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

If it is how I have understood, it should emulate the home button on the
screen(no hardward buttons, only on screen). It should open last used
application list by long press or by short press go to home screen.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I have Android 2.2, Archos 43int, Zeemote. It pais and works ok, by play games.

Please provide any additional information below.

I will it to avoid the need to release the steering wheel by driving, when I
change between application running on my tablet. In my case is Navit
(navigation software) and Torque ( One sort of Board computer, over OBDII) One
sort of ALT+TAB function in Windoff, that let you change between application
only by press one button.

If it does not work, I do not think you can get it to work:

This is a security concern; if an app was able to send the "home" key, it could
probably also open your dialer app and dial somewhere expensive without having
the appropriate permission.

Thanks for the replay,

But in my case I have one Tablet and not a phone, they have only WIFI, it will
be Not one issue for me.

I have no hardware keyboard or buttons, only volume up-down and power
on-off.The home button is in the touchscreen itself.

It is rooted, I run one custom ROM, will be this more easy to get it work on it?

Best regards,

Ferenc.

Sorry, it is not Bluez-IME that imposes the restrictions, it is the Android
system. Even if it is not a security problem for you, Google decided that it
could be a security problem and blocked it.

If you can get a custom ROM that allows you to emulate Home key presses, then
it will just work, otherwise there is not a way around it.
