After selecting previous route multiple instances of main page occur

After selecting previous route and trying to exit program form main page 
program doesn't exit

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Look in MainPage.java

What is the expected output? 
- After selecting previous output and then going back to main page and try to 
exit 
application exits normally

What do you see instead?
- After selecting previous output and then going back to main page and try to 
exit 
application goes to previous instance
